Recognising the fear, upset and loneliness faced by individuals undergoing cancer treatment and their loved ones, the duo were determined that their charity would make a real difference. They set about sourcing donations, packaging and delivering gifts, whilst giving support to patients on oncology wards. Today, the team has almost 50 volunteers and hundreds of regular supporters delivering over 2,500 gifts to fourteen hospitals in the Midlands every month. During this four week course we will introduce and practice a wide range of watercolour techniques then move on to applying them in a selection of practice works Over the four weeks we'll cover equipment, preparation, resources, sourcing materials and of course techniques, tips and tricks. Over four hours in this relaxing felting class, you will learn the art of transforming something as simple as wool into a stunning masterpiece. Don't worry if you've never tried felting before - this workshop is designed for beginners. Our experienced instructor Liddy will guide you through each step, ensuring that you feel confident and inspired. With her expert guidance, you'll learn how to fuse wool fibres into beautiful shapes and blend colours to create depth and texture. During the workshop, you will be creating your very own Starry Night scene, inspired by the beloved painting by Vincent van Gogh. Imagine holding in your hands a charming felted and embroidered masterpiece that captures the magic and beauty of that iconic work of art. In 1906, Vanessa Bell started to think of herself as an artist, she went on to form the Friday Club to create a community in London that was supportive of painting. Bell was encouraged by the Post-Impressionist exhibitions organised by Roger Fry, and she reproduced their bold forms and vivid colours in her artworks. In 1914, she turned to Abstraction. We'll aim to replicate one of their classic works. We may choose a whole painting or a section to complete and you will enjoy an evening creating something similar to a great master! What do I need? We try to keep the requirements very simple to ensure the sessions are as accessible as possible ​ Acrylic Sessions (such as Paint Like...): Acrylic Paint - Primary Colours plus black and white (we will guide for colour mixing) Brushes - As a basic rule you will just need a range three or four different sized brushes, small, medium and large Brush examples (but not definitive) Flat Brush (1/2 inch or larger), Round Brush (No2 and No4 and No8) Canvas or Canvas Board or Cardboard (prepared with white paint) in terms of size, the choice is yours, but as a guide A4 paper size or bigger ​ Watercolour: Watercolour set that includes primary colours with black and white A range of brushes as above Watercolour paper or a thicker paper (to absorb the paint) ​ For both: You'll need a pot of water, a cloth and a smile!

A relaxed, fun, social game preceded by a short warm up session. Everyone has to walk (walking is defined as always having one foot in contact with the ground) , the ball can't go over head height and we play 5,6 and 7 aside. It's supposed to be non contact...and most of the time it is! We are affiliated to Newport Pagnell FC, but during the dark evenings we play at St Paul's School, returning to the grass at Willen Road in May The WFA say: Walking Football is a unique small-sided ball game created by John Croot in 2011. It’s similar in some respects to Association Football and this is what makes it such a great sport. When playing the sport, all of the skills you have learned will come flooding back. Memories will come back too because the game is familiar. It’s the game you love and remember but played in a new way.

Our weekly sessions tend to be based around watercolour painting, but we also occasionally include illustrations with pencils, marker pens and gouache Course Tutor - Liddy graduated from Derby University in 2005 after gaining a BA Hons Degree in Illustration. She completed her PGCE before embarking on a 10 year secondary school art teaching career in Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire. She is currently undertaking a course in the History of Art. Liddy left teaching to start her own business Something Less Boring in 2017 to bring art and sport to a wider audience Liddy lives in Buckinghamshire delivering art and creative drawing workshops as well as relaxing Sip & Paint evenings.
