Louis Pastour June 26, 1876 to December 6, 1948 is a French painter from Cannes, Provence. Pastour is part of the post-impressionist movement through his own technique, knife painting. Colourist, painter of light, it is with equal mastery that he tackles his favorite themes: seascapes, flowers and landscapes Mon 2nd June 7.30pm BST - Hymne-au-soleil In this gently guided session we'll try out some of the techniques that the great artists used to define their unique styles. We'll aim to replicate one of their classic works. We may choose a whole painting or a section to complete and you will enjoy an evening creating something similar to a great master! What do I need? Sun 10th August 7pm - Dachshund ‘These two dear little creatures are my friends. They are intelligent, loving, comical and often bored. They watch me work; I notice the warm shapes they make together, their sadness and their delights." We will look at examples of the artist's work to gain an understanding of the characteristics and traits of their work and how we might carry that forward and use similar methods in our own work What do I need?
