Art in the Park - Watercolour
Join us at Bletchley Park, home of the codebreakers
Descripción del servicio
Now open to visitors as a museum and heritage attraction, Bletchley Park during World War Two was home to thousands of remarkable men and women whose top-secret codebreaking work had a major impact on the conflict and laid the foundations of modern computing. But life at Bletchley Park wasn't all work. Staff were actively encouraged to get creative and spend time together, from music groups and sport teams to amateur dramatics and art classes. Now it's your turn to be part of that tradition. Join us for a watercolour class in the beautiful grounds of Bletchley Park, inspired by the creativity of the wartime staff who painted here before you. Wed 1st July 11.30am - Art in the Park - Watercolour Guided by art tutor Liddy, from Something Less Boring, you'll begin with gentle drawing exercises before bringing the Lake and Mansion to life in watercolour. Whether you're a complete beginner or a more experienced artist, this class will help you improve your sketching and watercolour painting in a relaxed session, with as much guidance as you would like, with the freedom to enjoy the moment and see what you create. All materials are provided, but you're welcome to bring your own sketchbook or purchase one when you buy your ticket. Tickets include entry to Bletchley Park for the entire day, but please arrive at the site at least 15 minutes before the class begins. This class is recommended for anyone over the age of 14.
